The combination of talent, experience, and passion

When you’re looking to hire someone for a long-term commitment, their genuine passion for the job is often a suitable substitute for skills and experience. Candidates with the drive to learn can be guided to become loyal, experienced and talented; a great combination.

However, for short-term contracts, passion for the job has much less impact. How motivated they are to learn is irrelevant because we want them to come talented and experienced. But, we also have to realize that we then don’t have the luxury of hiring them cheap.
