Meetings don’t need to take that long
A meeting that is scheduled for one hour will likely fill that allotted time.
A meeting that is scheduled for 30 minutes may not be long enough to cover what requires an hour’s discussion.
But, if you schedule something with a tighter timeframe, you are then forced to omit any of the unnecessary time wasting that the one-hour meeting involves.
If required, you can then arrange another meeting to cover the missing parts or finish off through email at a much lower cost to the organization.
