But stating that it’s not your fault also doesn’t say anything about what you’re going to do to fix it.

Stating that it’s not your fault also implies that you don’t think that it’s your responsibility.

You might not have made any mistakes, but that doesn’t mean you can’t help find a solution to the problem.
