You might have heard of the expression “penny wise, dollar foolish”.

It describes someone who is so concerned about saving small amounts of money that they don’t understand how much they could gain by looking at the big picture.

It’s a clever saying, but it doesn’t just apply to money.

The same principle can also be applied to problems and ideas.

You have to spend your mental energy doing something.
