Perfecting our work is tempting. It can be in our nature to want to deliver the best possible solution because we feel like anything less than perfect is going to reflect badly on us.

However, you have to know the limit between demonstrating your aptitude with your presentation and perfecting your presentation just to satisfy yourself. In many cases, effective time management is more important than fixing imperfections. This is especially true if your time is under the management of someone else, and this is especially relevant if those “perfected” details are going to be changed by someone else anyway.
It can be uncomfortable to publish imperfections, but if the extra time and effort isn’t beneficial to the final outcome, you have to realise that it’s actually your discomfort with imperfection that is holding you back.
